Jazz brought together many cultures, by creating whole new world in music. The film has many interesting things in it but I feel that the most interesting thing is the music. The music is quite a new thing, or should I say old,we don't have music much like the blues,or jazz anymore.

Jazz music was a reflection of all cultures because it brought everyone together to dance and sing together. It has a very smooth ting that just makes everyone relax because the tone of the beat calms people down. Every time someone heard it if they were in a bad mood or not it brought out happy in them.

Jazz brings people together. People would come from all over the world to New Orleans to just listen to it. New Orleans was the most musical city in the U.S. They still had slave trade and so jazz was born. Jazz is an interesting art form that constantly improvises.

People would come from everywhere to come and play or just listen. All nationalities could take there own type of jazz and put it together and make it unique, every rhythm and lyric and note or any part is different in its own way with the tempo. But there is still racism so that could have been a main topic in a lot of songs. In the Congo square you could catch a glimpse of Africa and there was a lot of swing dancing. A lot of slaves were brought and brought slave songs to represent the fight they have endured and what they have accomplished.

I found this video very interesting because it was about jazz . I'm a fan of jazz and I find it very smoothing , because it's the kind of music that can calm someone down . On Sunday afternoon my brother plays jazz music in the house . It made thing sound like there were going to be ok , it also bought joy and a lot of people together . Jazz music was founded in New Orleans . Slavey was still going on in New Orleans and they would worship or just play music in a church in New Orleans. Some light skinned people ,known as Ceros would look down on the darker African Americans .

Jazz in New Orleans reflected the culture in the 1800s because it brought tons of people together because the music was always different. It helped survive hard times and gave people something to look forward too. New Orleans was the heart of jazz and many people knew that. Slave were permitted to dance every Sunday at Congo square. I thought the baptist church groups were very interesting. Everyone that was part of the church they would just start dancing and singing. They made up all different beats and tones to the music called jazz. They made this music the most popular music around that time people would hear it and just come and join the people who we're playing it they made up different notes and songs and beats it was a very interesting type of music.

It hasn't completely but music goes thru cycles. In the '80s it was all Hair and Glam Metal like KISS or Pop like Michael Jackson. The '90s it was all grunge like Nirvana. Grunge basically wiped out Hair Metal. Then heavy metal overtook grunge. Then rap became huge. Nowadays it's all pop and country. But my point is music goes thru cycles and it also depends on the area of the country. The south is huge on country. Up here it's kinda mixed out west it's all rap. The blues music scene is still down in the south.

Jazz was one way to bring together everyone in the city. Everyone loved music so what better way then to sit down with a couple instruments and just play, and learn to get along with your enemies. Even today with music you go to a concert and your in a giant room with people you don't know but you all have a comma entreat because that's what your all there for the music. Jazz was a great way to bring all these people together in a hard time in the world. Personally I'm not a bug fan in jazz but it is an amazing art of music.

They went to all parts of the country weather it was popular or just a stage they could get up and perform at. They had to accomplish amazing feats. January 26 was attacked and 15 months later we're forced to surrender. Slavery was what made jazz possible. During a time of integration and migrating, New Orleans was a huge mixing pot of races, jazz and other forms of entertainment began to create connections between people, giving pieces of their own culture to the mixing pot that America was becoming and now is. Jazz gave new emotion and culture to a society that was essentially evolving and changing.

The blues could be about anything, a beautiful woman, mean boss, and the songs were meant to tell a story and mostly to make anyone listening to relate and feel better. To the people in New Orleans back then, jazz was sacred and there's to make. It was about freedom and that the dong is about seeing that everyone is going through thing that you could think no one is going through but you and then you realize that you are not alone and it makes you feel better about your situation and help you realize that what you are going through could be worse.there was military style and there was some that was use like churches play music. The way things were put together was one thing and the opposite and we're put together in one instrument and make it understandably amazing. The white people there supposed to think a difference between whitest and blacks just for sitting at the same hotel table. They were not able to sit in the same carts on trains as whites, which caused more racism and made laws. Then white people that were considered 2nd class citizens were considered this much because they played and listened to the same kind of music. Music was often slow and mellow. Improvisation was jazz, but they did not call it jazz, it was called then as rag time, or blues but then it was just played weather there was a name for it or not. They just played.

1. Jazz was a form of art, a universal language between all cultures. It represented all Americans at their best. Influences for jazz came from all different backgrounds and families. Jazz was an individual art form, yet it still brought people together, no matter what race they were. New Orleans was a city of pure culture, and jazz music was a clear reflection of that.

Buddy bold was considered and given credit for the beginning of jazz. He was the louder bolder and more innovative with a trumpet.... He created the big four. Every second you have to make a decision on who's playing and what kind do beats and things you would play.the funky butt dance hall was 15cents and you could get in. Everyone was sitting ther with hats on heads down lettin buddy play. Everyone let him play and they all rose up and started to get into it. The slow jazz was for night people at night. They would just move slow on they dance floor cuz they appreciate the music and the whole night all together so they would move slow so they could save there energy to use all night and keep it going as long as possible. Jazz deals with man and woman with relationships and let it all out in the open. Buddy became bolden and had became a heavy drinker and missed gigs and he was terrified of everything. His mother arrested him in fear of him getting hurt or hurting her, so the put him in an insane asylum for the rest of the life. Every religion or region of the world had there own type of music they wanted to play. They had choices.
